She began her career in downtown Chicago, where she focused on business and estate planning for those with a high net worth. It was from this experience that she amplified her skills. She has a way of identifying the objectives of her clients and then utilizing strategies so they can meet their goals.
Maritess graduated from Northern Illinois University with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and minor in Communications. She had worked for United Airlines Credit Union shortly after graduation day. A few years later, she earned her law degree from John Marshall Law School while working part-time at Weiss & Block Chartered. She also earned a masters in Accountancy from Dominican University (then Rosary College).
In 2003, Ms. Bott became a member of the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys, which is a nationally exclusive organization that focuses on promoting only excellence in all things estate planning. She is only one of a few academy members in the Chicago area. She uses this expertise to provide dependable legal services to her clients.
A few years later, in 2007, Maritess decided to begin the journey of owning her very own law firm. This choice was driven by her desire to serve clients in a personalized way. After meeting with you, you will quickly see that she values her clients and treats them like they are a part of her family. She understands that when people seek legal help, it is often because they are going through a difficult time.
